Entry-Level Technician
$28,000 – $33,000
Starting your career at the entry level means gaining foundational certifications through Ford training programs. New technicians also receive a Starter Tool Kit on consignment until they advance to the next level, at which point the tools become theirs.
Maintenance Technician
$34,000 – $41,000
Maintenance technicians build on their foundational knowledge by completing additional service training over a 10- to 12-week period. Tuition reimbursement is available for approved automotive courses.
C Tech
$42,000 – $55,000
C Techs transition into the main shop environment and participate in an accelerated training curriculum. Each C Tech is paired with a Master Level Technician who serves as a mentor and reviews all completed repairs.
B Tech
$42,000 – $55,000
At the B Tech level, technicians enroll in advanced, expert-level training offered directly through the manufacturer.
Master Technician
$91,000 – $110,000+
Master Technicians represent the highest level of expertise at our dealership. These automotive professionals have the opportunity to collaborate directly with Ford factory engineers.
What To Expect As An Automotive Service Technician
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair brake, exhaust, fuel, ignition, and electrical systems
- Perform suspension and alignment repairs
- Explain diagnoses and recommended repairs to the Service Advisor
- Review repairs and test drive with customers as requested
- Continuously learn new technical information to keep up with advancements in automotive technology
- Coach and mentor newer technicians to build strong, confident teams
- Maintain a neat, organized service bay
Additional Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required
- FCA certifications preferred, but not required
- Basic computer literacy
- Good driving record
- Required to pass a drug screening
